CANDLE CARE

First burn
When you light the candle for the first time, let the melted wax reach the edge of the vessel for a full melt pool. This should take about 2-4 hours. This will allow the candle to burn uniformly during future uses.
Trim your wick
This is crucial for your candle to burn properly. You can use a wick trimmer, scissors, or even a nail clipper. We recommend trimming the wick to a 1/4" and re-trimming before every use.
Burn duration
Never let you candle burn for more than 4 hours at a time. This will create an oversized flame, have your vessel overheat and lead to soot (black smoky substance) on the vessel as well as buildup on the wick.
End of candle life
Your candle is finished when there is about 1cm of wax left at the bottom of the vessel. Do not continue burning at this point as it can damage the surface below and overheat.
Caution
-
Never leave burning candles unattended or in the reach of flammable objects, children or pets
-
Never use a candle as a night light
-
Never extinguish candles with water
-
Always keep burning candles in well-ventilated rooms
Upcycle your vessel
When you are finished burning your candle, remove the remaining wax and wash your vessel with soap and warm water. Give the vessel a second life and fill it with a plant, pencils, brushes, cotton swabs, jewelry or small accessories. The possibilities are endless!
